How Do You Keep Banana Bread Moist?

Wrapping is one of the best ways to keep banana bread damp for some days. Following baking and cooling, I recommend securely wrapping the bread in plastic wrap. Then, you have to go to the next step, where you damp in the freezer with the fitting plastic dish.

This banana bread recipe does not require a fancy mixer. To prepare the cake, all you need is a mixing bowl. Moreover, you can use a fork to whisk the eggs. To mix the batter, you have to use a strong spoon. 

The quantity of sugar its very important to make this mixer, most of the taste depends on sugar measurement. If you want to look good, you can use white sugar. However, most people, including myself, are satisfied with 3/4 cup, and many are satisfied with 1/2 cup.

According to the process, you have to keep bread on the counter for three days. However, if you want, you may keep the bread in the freezer for six days. But I always suggest not keeping food for a long time.

Ingredients

 

  • Three medium bananas that are very ripe,
  • Peeled and mashed about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 cups
  • Salted melted butter
  • baking soda  half of  teaspoon 
  • One pinch of salt
  • Three or four cups (150g) sugar 
  • One large egg, beaten
  • One teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Using one or half teaspoon flour

Process 

Step 1

At first, prepare the pan, and you have to Preheat the oven. Then you have to butter an eight into four inches to keep on the pan. After that, you can heat the oven to 175°C.

Step 2 

You can mash the bananas With a fork and then mix it with the butter. Continuously, you will mix with a fork until they are completely soft. After the bananas are mashed, the butter should be melted and combined.

Step 3 

After combining the other ingredients, salt and baking soda are added. In a mixing bowl, combine vanilla essence, sugar, and one beaten egg. Then add the flour to mix perfectly.

Step 4 

Fill the prepared loaf pan with the batter. The banana bread batter was poured into a loaf pan. Moreover, you have to bake at 175°C for 55 to 65 minutes. Another process you can bake is until a wooden skewer in the center of the cake comes out clean.

It is acceptable to have a few dry crumbs in contrast to moist batter streaks. When you see the loaf’s surface looks brown, but the inside is still damp, tent it loosely with aluminum foil. Then you can continue baking for a few more minutes.

Step 5

Substitution

I have received inquiries regarding possible substitutes for the vanilla extract used in this recipe. According to the instructions, it is important to maintain it strictly. It is not recommended to use almond extract since the flavors do not seem to pair well together, and the almond overpowers the banana flavor. If you wish, you may add banana extract, but be aware that the taste will be more pronounced.

Storage notes

Before the freezing, you have to notice that the wrapped perfectly and the bread is completely cool. However, if you want to use a large plastic container, you can. The most valuable thing is that it can stay for up to three or size days on the counter in the fridge. So if you wrap the bread perfectly, you can freeze it for more than two months.
